ELIGIBILITY FOR UHS SERVICES
Penn State students who are registered for the current semester are eligible for all University Health
Services (UHS) clinical services. Spouses who are covered by either of the two Penn State Student Insurance
Plans are also eligible for UHS clinical services. Certain other groups (i.e. summer program participants, sports campers, conferees) can also receive health
care for urgent problems and are charged the non-student rate.
Registered students are charged the basic clinic visit fee. Students who are registered
for spring and fall classes may continue to utilize the health center
over the summer but they will be charged the non-student rate.
Spouses enrolled in the Penn State Student Accident and Illness
Plan or the Penn State Graduate Assistant/Graduate Fellow Health
Insurance Plan are charged the non-student rate. Any student and their spouse who decide
to enroll in the Penn State Student Health Insurance Plan must obtain
health care through UHS except under those conditions specified
in the plan.
Please see the UHS fee schedule for current rates.
