Do you weigh yourself every day, skip at least one meal a day, count calories and fat grams every time
you eat, exercise because you have to not because you want to? You may be on your way to an eating
disorder. If you're worried about your weight loss, eating, or exercise habits, you may want to talk
with a health professional about your concerns. Penn State offers a variety of different resources to
help students who may have eating disorders. See the Resources section for details.
Even if you aren't on your way to a serious struggle with an eating disorder, you can still find ways
to improve your self-esteem and body image by exploring this site and learning more about how food,
diet exercise affect the way we think about our bodies.
This site contains basic information about the types of eating disorders, symptoms, treatment options,
and an "eating attitudes" test, and suggestions about where you can get help at Penn State.
