SUPPORT, SURVIVAL AND SUCCESS: S-PLAN
WHAT IS S-PLAN?
Support, Survival and Success (S-Plan) is a program for African American
and Latino students who are new to Penn State. S-Plan is designed
to assist you with your adjustment to campus and to help you manage
the stresses that you may experience in your first year here.
Experienced student leaders, men and women of color, meet with new students to discuss their concerns, introduce them
to campus resources, and provide opportunities for socializing.
S-Plan addresses health issues of interest
to students of color, such as HIV/AIDS, alcohol, sexuality,
stress management, and overall well-being of the student.

HOW CAN I GET MATCHED WITH A MENTOR?
If you are a student of African or Latino descent
who is new to campus, watch your mail for your invitation to S-Plan
sessions, and expect follow-up phone calls from your S-Plan mentor.
S-Plan events are publicized with e-mails and flyers
that are distributed on campus. If you are new to campus, and have
not received any S-Plan information, please contact our S-Plan Coordinator
at University Health Services, 201 Student Health Center, or at (814)
863-0461.
You may also complete and submit a S-Plan
Mentee Application Form online.
