Frequently Asked Questions

May I fax or send my résumé (or cover letter) via email to Career Services for feedback?

While Career Services offers assistance with resumes/job search letters through written materials, seminars, and face-to-face feedback, we do not offer resume/letter reviews through email, post, or fax. Giving feedback on resumes and letters is complicated, and requires interaction with you, the writer. Written feedback often leaves open for misunderstandings, which is why we require students to bring the documents in for review. Please note that the email service is set up for brief questions and answers. If you are at University Park and would like to receive feedback on your resume/letter, please visit the Drop-in Counseling office in 112 Bank of America Career Services Center, open Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. If you are not in the area, and you would like someone else's perspective on your document, you can try broaching someone you trust such as a friend, parent, teacher, etc. for some feedback. Please also review our website for on-line materials on resume/job search letters. An additional option is to access our On-line Workshop for resume writing entitled "Professional Resume Preparation."
