Your Wedding at The Helen Eakin Eisenhower Chapel

at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center


To be married in the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, the bride or bridegroom must be a full-time student, a Penn State alumna/alumnus, full-time employee of Penn State, or a member of the immediate family of a faculty or staff member. Persons of any faith may schedule weddings. The ceremony must meet the legal requirements of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

A RESERVATION FORM must be completed for our records. You can submit this form online or obtain a printed version from the Center for Ethics and Religious Affairs by calling Mya Rsuthon at (814) 865-6548. Please include the bride's name, address and phone number (work & home). We need to know the dates you are considering for your wedding. Each reservation is 2 hours long with a half hour for decorating (total 2.5 hours) and is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., 4:00pm-6:00pm or anytime after 6:30pm in the Chapel. Times available in the Worship Hall are 10:00am-12 noon, 1:00pm-3:00pm or any time after 6:00pm. Special accomodations may be made for Friday and Sunday weddings.

PERSONS PLANNING the wedding couple must make their own arrangements and pay for the services of the officiant, musician(s), florist, etc.

THE CANDLES on the altar should be lit by the head usher or the wedding facilitator just before the service begins and extinguished immediately following the service. Candles should be used in the altar areas only.100% beeswax, non-drip candles are suggested and preferred. These candles can be provided by the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center for $75.00.  Battery operated candles may be used on the windowsills.

FLOWER URNS are provided in the Eisenhower All-Faith Chapel and vases in the Worship Hall. Area florists are acquainted with the facilities and are able to provide floral arrangements compatible with the urns and vases. You must remove the flowers from the urns and vases after the ceremony.

MUSIC We will supply the names of organists authorized to play the Eisenhower All-Faith Chapel and Worship Hall organs. Final choices of music should be made in consultation with your officiant and musician(s). The piano is available to be used in addition to the organs. You may select other musicians such as trios, quartets, classical guitarists, or harpists.

You and your officiant should discuss THE TAKING OF PICTURES during the ceremony. The movement of photographers can be a distraction to those who are officiating at the ceremony as well as to you and your guests.

Bubbles and flower petals may be thrown but rice, birdseed, and confetti are not acceptable.

RECEPTIONS can be accommodated. There is limited space and alocohol is not permitted.

A BRIDE'S ROOM is located near each worship space and is included in your
reservation. Please arrange to have personal belongings removed immediately after the ceremony.

THE RENTAL CHARGE:
The Eisenhower All-Faith Chapel – seats 135 people - $350.00
The Pasquerilla Spiritual Center – seats 450-738 people - $600.00
The Meditation Chapel – seats 12 people - $100.00
