“Where students of today become the leaders
of tomorrow.”

USL Vision Statement:
USL
strives to make Penn State a more engaged and collaborative community though leadership development opportunities.

USL Mission Statement:
USL provides peer-led, experiential learning and leadership development to the Penn State community. Our primary goals are to foster students' leadership and to increase overall student engagement. Through customized consultation and facilitated activities, USL helps student organizations and individuals to reach their maximum leadership potential in order to enhance their our of classroom experience.

Undergraduate Student Leaders (USL) members are trained leadership facilitators.
USL is a peer-lead program where members plan, research, facilitate, and evaluate leadership workshops and team building activities across the University Park Campus, the State College Community, and other Penn State Campus locations. In addition, USL members play an integral role in all Center for Student Engagement programs and services.

Students who are interested in exploring their leadership potential will receive insight into their own leadership style through, on-going development and training. USL members ultimately become better leaders because they are continually exposed to new leadership concepts through hands-on interaction with other students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Request a USL Workshop - Due to the high demand for USL Workshops we are unable to accommodate any additional requests for the Spring 2008 semester. We will begin accepting workshop requests for Fall 2008 in August. Thank You!
