How do I add a network printer?
Click on the Start button.
Click on ‘Settings’ and then click on ‘Printers and Faxes’.
Click 'Add Printer'.
The 'Add Printer Wizard' pops up; make sure the radio button for ‘a network printer, or a printer attached to another computer’ is filled in.
Click the radio button beside ‘Connect to this printer’
Click 'Next'.
This is where you will have to browse to find the printer you want to use.
After you click on the printer you want to use so that it is highlighted, click ‘Next’
If this is going to be the printer you use most often, then click the radio button that has the word ‘Yes’ next to it. If you already have a default printer and this is a secondary printer, click ‘No’.
Click the ‘Yes’ button.
Click the ‘Finish’ button.

How do I plan a meeting using Outlook?
Click on 'Calendar' icon.
On the 'Actions' menu, click 'Plan a Meeting'.
Type in attendee name and hit 'Enter' key. (If there is more than one attendee, continue adding names.)
Click 'AutoPick' to find first available time, or search to find a time.
Click 'Make Meeting'.
In the 'Subject' box, type a description.
Enter the location in the 'Location' box.
Click 'Send'.


How do I get to PAA?

Can you tell me what my password is for…?
SA server

No, we don't know what your password is. If you forget your password or feel it has been compromised, call 865-7210 and we can re-set your password back to your default. It will prompt you to change your password the first time you log in. This will also be your screensaver password if you are on a Windows NT machine. (Your direct supervisor will have to send an e-mail requesting that your account be set back to the default or you will have to come to the IT office with your employee ID to change your password)

AIS password
No, we don't know what your password is. If you forget your password, you need to call the AIS Support Desk at 863-2276.


How do I tell if an e-mail is really a virus?
If you receive an e-mail that you think is a virus, please do not take any actions asked of you inthe e-mail. Do not forward the e-mail to anyone else. Before any actions are taken, please contact IT at 865-7210.

Check into a possible virus hoax at Symantec.


How do I add a co-worker’s calendar?
Right click on ‘Outlook Today-[Mailbox-“YOUR NAME”]
Choose ‘Properties for “Outlook Today”’.
Click the ‘Advanced’ button.
Click on the ‘Advanced’ tab.
Click on the ‘Add’ button. Type the full name of the person that you want to see their calendar.
Click ‘OK’

How do I give my co-worker permission to view my calendar?
Right click on ‘Calendar’
Choose ‘Properties’
Click on the ‘Permissions’ tab.
Click on the ‘Add’ button.Type the name of the person that you want to give permission to view your calendar
Click ‘Add’
Click ‘OK’
Under ‘Permissions’, use the drop down arrow to choose what level of permissions you want to give this person.
