To honor and recognize contributions to the lesbian, gay, bisexual
and transgender community achieved by an undergraduate/graduate
student who is enrolled at the Penn State University.
Consideration for this award shall be given to all full-time undergraduate/graduate
students enrolled at all locations of the Penn State University
who have demonstrated:
• Outstanding service to the LGBT community at Penn State
University
• Demonstrated efforts toward improving the climate and well
being of gay people at Penn State University
• Actively involved in increasing the visibility of LGBT issues
and concerns within the University community
• Active participants in educating the University community
on LGBT issues and concerns
• Intend to remain active in gay issues in the future and
as Penn State University alumni
Recipients of award will be chosen by a selection committee comprised
of members from Student Affairs, The Commission on LGBT Equity and
the LGBTA Student Resource Center Advisory Board.
Application forms can be obtained from the LGBTA Student Resource
Center in 101 Boucke Building. Application forms include one letter
of recommendation, and a letter of interest covering the consideration
points listed above.
