Duties

The advisory board will serve as the student liaison board between the senior staff of the PRCC and the student body.  The board will have three primary functions:

  1. To assist the senior management of the PRCC in allocating co-sponsorship dollars to student organizations.  The board will work collectively with the PRCC Director and Assistant Director in making decisions regarding student led programs and events that the PRCC financially supports.
  2. The board will have monetary stewardship over $2000 annually ($1000 per semester) and eight venue co-sponsorships (4 per semester) of Heritage Hall, with a cap of $250 per event. Each board member should become familiar with PRCC co-sponsorship guidelines and encourage students across campus to become involved with the PRCC.
  3. The board will provide the PRCC management staff with feedback on center programs and initiatives, insight on current campus/student issues, and serve as an assessment group to garner input on future program ideas and initiatives. As part of the agenda, a campus report will be included in each board meeting.  Each student member should share relevant updates with the board on behalf of their organization: These updates include:
  • Key campus issues of which the center should be aware
  • Organizational needs and challenges of member organizations (support needs)
  • Upcoming programs

The board will help to distribute PRCC marketing materials for PRCC programs, events, and services. As a student representative, each member should share information gathered at board meetings with their student organization bodies at their general body meetings. Additionally, the PRCC will update the board on upcoming programs, PRCC organizational enhancements, and participation needs at each meeting. At the close of each semester, an annual report on the center’s activities will be shared with the board to keep student constituents informed of the center’s offerings.

Monthly Meetings & Location

The board will meet once per month in Room 016 within the PRCC 5:30-7pm
