At the Black Alumni Reunion held at University Park in August 2002, the Paul Robeson Cultural Center dedicated a plaque in honor of the Penn State students whose committment, dedication, and vision led to the creation of the Paul Robeson Cultural Center in 1972:

These students have their names listed on the plaque as honorees in the establishment of the Cultural Center. The plaque is on permanent display in the lobby of the Paul Robeson Cultural Center, where it will remain in perpetuity.
