Are there Welcome Week events that students are expected to attend?
There are several events and meetings that are important for all students to attend. On the first night, all students are required to attend their house meetings/dinner, the President's New Student Convocation, and Penn State LateNight. We strongly encourage students to attend as many Welcome Week programs as possible so that they can meet new people and become acclimated to the community.

A Welcome Week Leader, or WWL, is a student who has volunteered to help answer your questions, assist you with moving, and be a resource for you. WWL ’s are an invaluable resource to you as you are beginning your Penn State experience.
