Penn State Pulse surveys, which take 5-10 minutes to complete, help us gain an understanding of the experiences and opinions of PSU students. In order that the results truly represent the impressions of PSU students, it is important that each student selected completes the survey. The overall findings are used in future planning efforts by the University when making decisions about resources for students.

Students’ responses are both voluntary and confidential; students can decide not to respond to any questions they do not wish to answer. Responses are not associated with any names or identifiers. Confidentiality is strictly maintained. There is minimal risk to participating, although at times the questions may be personal.

Results of the surveys are summarized and made available from our office in 222 Boucke or online at www.sa.psu.edu/sara/pulse.shtml.

If you have any questions about the surveys, please contact Dr. Betty J. Harper at bjh17@psu.edu or at 863-1809. Our surveys are reviewed and approved by the Office for Research Protections at The Pennsylvania State University. You may contact the them at
865-1775 to verify participants’ rights.

Students must be at least 18 years old to participate.
