IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
GENERAL INFORMATION
As part of your pre-matriculation requirements, you will need to comply with immunization requirements. While incoming students previously received this form in the mail, students starting summer or fall 2007 will now access a secure site and record immunization and health history information online. New students will receive a letter with instructions on accessing this site near the start of their first semester.
Please note that you cannot register for second semester classes
until you have complied with the Penn State immunization requirement.
We do not want your academic endeavors interrupted, so please follow
the directions on this site.

Students who will be living in University-owned housing are required
by Pennsylvania law to either be immunized against meningococcal
disease or complete a waiver of exemption. All Penn State students
residing in University-owned housing, including all residence halls

UHS has meningitis vaccine available and as a service to Penn State
students will provide immunizations by appointment. See Immunizations.

Help for International Students with Immunization Requirements
To help international students who don't have the required immunizations,
UHS is available to provide immunizations at the International
Student Orientations in August and January. Students may also
come to the General Medicine Department in Ritenour Building to
get the immunizations. They may make a nurse appointment by calling
863-0774. The cost
of some of the immunizations (but not all) may be covered
for students who have purchased the Penn State Student Accident
and Illness Health Insurance Plan.
