HealthWorks is a peer health outreach program dedicated to serving the Penn State community. We seve the University through outreach events, and advocating for health related issues within the University community.
WHAT
IS THE HEALTHWORKS MISSION?
Our mission is to provide Penn State students with innovative, inclusive, and meaningful opportunities to foster healthy behaviors among Penn State students. We accomplish this through peer education activities that enhance awareness of health issues, build caring and respectful relationships, motivate healthy choices and encourage critical analyses of personal and community attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors.
HOW DOES HEALTHWORKS MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR PENN STATE STUDENTS?
HealthWorks members inform and influence other students through workshops on alcohol and nutrition. They also are involved in health advocacy issues, maintain the Hazen Library which offers resource materials on a variety of health issues, and provide a computer dietary analysis to assist students in evaluating their diets.
