Pregnancy testing is readily available at UHS and is done by appointment with a nurse. Appointments for pregnancy testing are usually available within 1 to 3 days and can be made by calling Clinical Services at (814) 863-4463 and asking to speak to a nurse. For patients pregnant and unsure of their options, "options counseling" is available through Clinical Services and can be scheduled by calling (814) 863-0774 and asking to speak to a nurse.

Any patient who has a positive pregnancy test is encouraged to have a "confirmation exam" done during a women's health visit. This exam consists of a pelvic exam performed by a clinician to help ascertain how many weeks the patient is pregnant.
