All in the Family: Three Generations of Artists                                                           Carrie O'Coyle, D.M.Z. "Ziggy" Coyle, Opal Richenberg                                                       May 18- November 1                                           HUB Gallery

This exhibition features a family with three generations of artists: Grandmother D.M.Z. “Ziggy” Coyle, her daughter Carrie O’Coyle, and her daughter Opal Richenberg.

Ziggy’s artwork reflects her observations of local people, customs, and cultures both overseas and here in Pennsylvania.  Carrie O’Coyle’s “bio-spheres” are convex and spherical, multi-layered oil paintings that explore time and memory, loneliness, family and loss. Opal Naomi Richenberg is 9-years- old, and works from her small studio located inside of her mother’s larger studio.

lillies that fester smell far worse than weeds
Elissa Cox
January 20 - March 4
HUB Gallery

Cox’s sculpture evokes the double exposure of biological life: intricate surfaces and the intimate architecture contained inside. The materials used – latex, cloth, wax, beads, plaster and artificial foliage – illustrate nature’s proximity of decorative decadence and corporeal rawness living in harmony.
